Tips for Buying EarthBound

October 16th, 2013 | EarthBound, Images

The English localization of Rune Factory 4 came out recently, and I’ve heard that it’s brimming with references to stuff. So it’s not surprising that it has an EarthBound reference too!

Thanks to noxvulpes for the tip and the image!

Rune Factory is known for having references to other video games. Watch out for more!

I’ve been playing Rune Factory 4 a lot since release, and I didn’t even notice this! I can reaffirm that RF is full of references. Rune Factory 3 had a cool reference to Kid Icarus and that was even from Natsume rather than Xseed.

I would defintely like to play the Rune Factory games as I haven’t played them yet. I love references in games!

According to the localization diaries (for kotaku) for RF4, the flavor text for item descriptions was added by the localization team for otherwise bland descriptions.
They did well 🙂
