I’ve caught a few Classic Game Room videos in the past, and it looks like there’s a new MOTHER 1+2 review video up, posted a few days ago:
If you’re a regular visitor here this probably isn’t anything new to you, I just like that MOTHER 1+2 is getting attention, I feel like it’s often overlooked. It’s a shame it never got released outside of Japan, that would’ve been an amazing release to have in English. And there’d be none of this “$190 for an EarthBound cart” nonsense nowadays

lack of refs to mato’s translation project and starmen.net in generally is disturbing. XP

That was an enjoyable video. But I do agree with “lostaname” the translation should have been mentioned. The guy talking about the game is a big RPG fan, don’t tell me he doesn’t know about the translation patches. If he didn’t how would he know so much about the game (assumeing he hasn’t played EarthBound) Not many people are going to spend $50+ on a game they don’t understand, and not even look for a patch to play it in english. It would have been a terrible shame if it was a review of Mother 3, and the translation wasn’t mentioned.

Well, i gotta say. Despite CLEARLY NOT EVEN MENTIONING ALL OF MATO’S HARDWORK, THAT LASTED A FEW YEARS!, it seems this might bring some more gamers to the series. But HVGN’s review is better.

I love Classic Game Room, but the new guy is terrible and makes every video he’s in awkward to watch. I couldn’t even watch this one.

Personally, I thought the reprint was pretty bad in comparision to the originals. For one thing, the audio was horribly ported. But I still think the game is good. Just not as good as the original games.
