Hey Tomato!
I dug up an old issue of Tips & Tricks (R.I.P.) magazine the other day when I was digging through my N64 collection, looking for a game to play. In any case, I spotted Ness on the cover of of T&T (Only took me 8 years to notice!), and I thought that despite this being relatively minor, it’s still important nonetheless to see Earthbound get acknowledged in some way!
Quick, find Ness! If you find him in under five seconds, you win! Take longer than three seconds and you don’t get dessert for the rest of the decade!
Also, how many other characters can you name?

Who is that character in between Midnight Club II and InuYasha? Looks a lot like some kind of blurry Ness… with a clown nose.

No, I mean…. down at the very bottom. There’s something that looks very similar to Ness. It even has the same color pants and striped shirt, and the hair/hat area looks kinda reddish too, although that’s not the same. Even the eyes seem to match, but then there’s a giant red nose looking thing.

Looks like a really generic fantasy RPG character to me. I think the stripes are actually gold edging on a jacket.
I found Ness really quick but I know less than half of the other characters…

As for the pseudo-Ness. My first instince was that it was Kid Clown from Crazy Chase, but after re-evaluating it is certainly not Kid Clown. However, I can’t help but fee like I’ve seen that sprite before, despite having no recollection of the game or name of the character.

Yeah, to me happenned the same stuff that happened to Nathalie. In fact, Ness was the first thing I saw in the cover. Also, to RadicOmega and Zoom!, I was also wanting to register, just didn’t found the button to do it. BUT OMG THANKS FOR POINTING IT OUT TO ME GOTTA GO REGISTER BYE!

Found Ness really fast. Among other characters I see:
Ristar,bubble bobble,Ken Masters,Kirby,battletoad,DK,Mario,Sonic,Rayman,Luigi,megaman,Pikachu,earthworm jim, ryu from ninja gaiden, simon belmont, I see someone that LOOKS just like the main character from the Shinobi series,wonder boy, pacman, little mac, I think I see Guilius from GoldenAxe,the knight from Ghosts n Goblins, bomberman, a caveman from Trogg! Yep I believe thats all I could find. My deserts are kept for sure. And if this earns me any bragging rights, I didnt cheat on any of these, seriously.
