February 26th, 2011 | EarthBound, Merchandise
The final batch of official MOTHER 2/EarthBound figures are finally out in Japan! This time there are three different Starman figures, a couple different Mr. Saturn ones, and a Belch figure:

Again, these aren’t actually for sale in stores – you have to win them in Japanese arcades. If you don’t live in Japan and/or suck at those claw machine games, here are some places you can get your hands on these:
- Starman and Belch figures on eBay (the only one on there available at the time of this writing is this one
- All MOTHER 2/EarthBound figures on eBay
- Starman figures on Yahoo Auctions Japan
There’s are a few more details about the figure sets here, too.
Now that all the figures have been made available, this special campaign will probably kick in. The number of prizes is limited, so those stickers will probably be collectors items for sure!
It’s being overly hopeful, but maybe these figures did well enough for Banpresto and Itoi that more stuff might get made. That’d be cool

I wasn’t sold when I first saw these bad boys revealed but now I want ‘em badly. They are smexy.
Also, the Belch box is loltacular.
When I saw the headline in my RSS feed, I spent a good three minutes trying to understand what Starman and Belch could have figured out.

I’ve got my source in Japan on the lookout for some reasonably priced sets through Yahoo! Japan. At the end of the month, I’ll be getting one very large shipment of figures from September through February~
Oh god I would kill, er mortally wound someone for that starman figure! I wonder if a kraken figure would look nice too… Hmmmn…

Is it an artifact of the photographs, or do the Starman figures really have glowing coloured crotches?

I think it’s their semi-reflective coating, and the reflection of the base that produces that coloring.
Do they really have those lines across the “waist”? If so then I think my Meela StarMan DX is of superior quality.
I think the figures come in two halves so the line on the waist area is the join. You will notice the same thing is on the belch figure.

Hello
I was able to complete the MOTHER’s prize. My hobbies are SLR, do you need pictures of figures? If I make a photo gallery in demand.
eagle0wl,
I would really like to see you make a photo gallery of the Mother prizes! I think it would be awesome!
Thank you!
