There have been a few instances of Ness look-alikes, and I’m not sure what to conclude. On the one hand, Ness’s appearance was deliberately chosen to be the American Everykid, so anyone else exemplifying the same archetype should expectedly look similar.
On the other hand, a blue/yellow striped shirt and a red hat with a blue rim? Every time? That’s one hell of a coincidence.

First, there’s the matching clothes. And then there’s the fact that Yang happens to be a natural at baseball in the story, too.

This book is very funny and enjoyable. I read it just after it was published. My brother doesn’t want to read it, but that’s because he’s a Nintendo addict. I wish he’d try it because he plays the violin and is almost as bad at it as Yingtao is. Young readers and young musicians will love this book, and kids who don’t like to read should give it a chance-they’ll like it too. Enjoy!
