This is very old news, but from time to time I like to showcase cool old stuff people might not know about. In this case, I’m talking about EarthBound Kart, a Mario Kart (Super NES version) hack that added EarthBound elements to the game. Here are some unfinished videos:
I don’t think this hack was ever completed, and I don’t know if the unfinished version was ever made available. You can read more about the project here, though. It’d be awesome if someone picked it up, or started a new one of their own – I believe new Mario Kart hacking utilities have been made since then, and lots more about the game has been figured out, including how to make the computer AI behave properly on your custom tracks.
In any case, it’s cool to see people hacking EarthBound stuff into other games. Someone make an EarthBound hack of Super Mario Bros!

I’m not sure if the projects dead since he had its site up for the longest time, it just now came down. He’s just doing it at a very slow rate, his estimated completion date was in 2030 or something though.

Also, there was a demo available on the said site. I don’t have it though since I lost all my files in a hard drive failure.

Hey there everyone- I actually took the liberty to upload a backup of the site. I’m not sure if it’s the newest one, but pretty much everything is intact, with the exception of posting on the guestbook, of course.

The other day I was thinking: Since the playable characters (and some NPCs)in Mother 3 have running sprites, someone should make a sprite swap for MegaMan Soccer! Yaaay!

I have been wanting to first learn how to make reproduction carts for nes,snes, and gba, then learn how to make games, start simple and work my way up to a real game, this is the game i want to make earthbound kart racing, not a Super mario kart hack but a real game, start at the bigging, new tracks, earthbound music, characters and unlockables and no coins, wepons earthbound inspired. Mabey in 3-6 years i will start or finish. In 2018 look for this cart for sale
