A little while back Jumpman sent this in:
Hi,
I’m a video game guitarist and I arrange and perform songs from video games that I love.
I tried to contact you through the submit form on Earthbound Central but I’m not sure it works.I’d like to show you a cover of two Mother 3 songs that I’ve made. In my arrangement and my interpretation, I tried to reflect faithfully the emotions of the game, and especially the three words from the subtitle: “Strange, Funny, and Heartrending”.
Here is the video.
If you think I’ve respected Mother 3′s tag line, if you had emotions while listening to my stuff, if you think people would be interested, feel free to share the info on the news!

This is definitely a very nice guitar rendition of those songs. If someone’s willing to get an MP3 of it, I’ll post it here too

Truly beautiful.
Also, it’s very heartwarming to see that there are so many people around the world, who put their whole love into games like MOTHER. This might sound a bit weird, but I can’t help it, it’s true.
Really awesome, the composition of the songs was amazing! Jumpman, those songs were really awesome!

I liked the second song very much. It’s one of those songs that’s often ignored by fan musicians, but it’s very beautiful. I’d like it if you did more, Jumpman.

Gorgeous arrangements Jumpman…this was relaxing to listen to.
Not to be a hater…this guy is a skilled guitarist and I love these songs…but these nylon string guitars can be a real hassle to tune properly, and it shows here. I wish I could enjoy it more, but I’m cringing a bit too much.

Thank you guys
I appreciate your comments it’s very encouraging. I hope to record new Mother 3 music stuff soon.
And of course, thank you Tomato for posting the news ![]()
Sorry Matt for the tuning, I agree it could have been better. I realized the problem when the recording was already done, and well, I thought it wasn’t too disturbing.
I’m usually incredibly picky about tuning but I didn’t notice anything wrong with this. It was great man, MAKE MORE.

Very nice arrangements Jumpman. I look forward to hearing more. You should do some MOTHER and MOTHER 2 as well tracks if you get the chance.
I knew the first one Theme of love. But is the second the ending or something else? Could some please tell me.

A dark Distant Town
With Sadness set out
No matter where I am
I will still be your life
I want to show you
Warm moments and dreams
I can see the small child smiling
when I close my eyes
If I call out
He will turn around
And give light to the small one
Who walks his path alone
I’m not sure if there are words for “We Miss You”
I can rip the MP3 audio from the video if anybody’s interested. Great guitar playing Jumpman!
I went ahead and ripped the MP3. Download here:http://lucaseb2.weebly.com/earthboundstarmennet.html. Click on “2 songs from mother 3″.

LucasEB2> Thanks! I think it would be better quality if I make the mp3 directly from the master record.
So I’ve made it, here it is: http://jumpman.free.fr/two_songs_from_mother_3.mp3
that was amazing. it actually made me shed a tear.
it reminded me the emotions i felt playing the game.
i think you did a good job capturing the feel of the game overall, especially the final battle.
it would be nice if you could also do “Gentle Rain” or “Shower Ballad”. good job!

I sighed like a 1950′s school girl hearing her favorite love song on the radio when I listened to his guitar master works

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of these homemade interpretations of the Mother series’s music. It’s amazing how much power these songs have to evoke emotions in so many of us. Great job.
