Tips for Buying EarthBound

February 13th, 2010 | Images, Merchandise, MOTHER 3

A person by the internet name of Kimagure Mikan seems to be a huge Mr. Saturn fan, and on her (I’m assuming it’s a her) blog she posted her latest journey to acquire some of the new mini Mr. Saturn plushes from Japanese arcades. Check out some of her other pages too for some more awesome Mr. Saturn fun 😀

Anyway, here are some photos from Japanese arcades that have the Mr. Saturns. It’s interesting to see that every arcade has a different set-up for how you can win these.

Getting a bite to eat with a friend first!

At the World Porters mall in Yokohama

Now at Round One in Yokohama:

Having a snack with a newfound friend

Uh oh, is it that time?

Hurray!

Such a happy Saturn family!

By the way, if you’d like to see these images in really high-res, I put them in a big zip file here.

If you don’t have the luxury of visiting a Japanese arcade in the next month or so, you can still get your own mini Mr. Saturns here:

It’s too bad I’m not based in Japan or I’d offer some sort of service to EB Central readers so they could get MOTHER merch easily and cheaply. Maybe when I win the lottery or something 😛

Oh God, That is unbearably cute! <3 Now I'm waiting for my litttle Mr.Saturn friend to arrive from Japan, looking at these makes me even more excited!!! 😀

In all seriousness though, I totally need 5 of these so I, too, can make ladder. XD

That’s so damn cute! >W<

Satsy said on Feb. 13, 2010

I like that they got the ladder going there. I’m also wondering if they brought the giant Mr.Saturn with them to pose for that shot, or if that one came with the store.

Satsy said on Feb. 13, 2010

EDT: On closer inspection (of the giant image on the blog) I cannot gauge depth. But I knew that already.

neonix said on Feb. 13, 2010

I have 10 waiting for me in some Japanese warehouse haha. I’ll make two ladders!

I want those hanging flag-looking posters man. A few of them would look great across the top of my wall.

SuperBlooper057 said on Feb. 13, 2010

How are you supposed to get the giant bear in the fifth picture? 0_o

shibaru said on Feb. 13, 2010

@Superblooper057:
Woah I just noticed how big that is.
Wouldn’t it break the claw thingy or whatever if someone tried to go for that one? XD

Poe said on Feb. 13, 2010

I get the feeling that the giant bear is there for decoration and to make the layout look more interesting. I could be wrong!

BottleRocket said on Feb. 13, 2010

Wow, too bad I can’t see those arcade machines in person. At least I got one of those $30 eBay ones. Can’t wait for it to arrive!

P Philosophy said on Feb. 13, 2010

Too cute! Just want to take them all home. <3 Think it would be fun to jump in a pile of Mr. Saturn plushies.

Miles Vialpando said on Feb. 13, 2010

FFFFFFF—-

I want five minis, and a jumbo Saturn!

shibaru said on Feb. 14, 2010

@Poe: Probably, though it does appear to be where the claw can touch it. It might not be, though. Probably just hard to tell in the picture.

I want them all and I have no job. I’m so sad. my dream is to fill a room of my house with Mr.Saturns and make the room look like a small scale Saturn valley, because I’m insane… I mean …. I talk to my Mr. Saturn Key chain (^o^;;
