January 20th, 2010 | MOTHER 3, Merchandise
Yesterday I posted about Banpresto making a new release of Mr. Saturn plushes in Japanese arcades starting next month. Some more info has since come out, and it looks like these are actually mini Mr Saturn plushes. So they’re a completely new piece of merchandise and limited in number. So all you collectors out there, get your wallets ready

The mini Mr. Saturn plushes are approximately six centimeters tall and have an elastic string thing at the top. You can use them as cell phone straps if you want, or you can collect a bunch and try to make a Mr. Saturn ladder, the game the Mr. Saturns like to play in MOTHER 3. There’s also a survey contest you can enter at each participating location, Fifty lucky entrants will get one of these plushes for free, inside an even more limited-edition gift box modeled after the MOTHER 3 boxes.
It sounds like there’ll be more info in a day or two, so I’ll keep everyone posted. You can see the official site here. Thanks to neonix for the tip!

Where’s the survey? I probably can’t do it, cause I’m not in japan

You do the survey on your cell phone at the actual arcade. It’s not a regular online survey.

I want one in that little present box. This is so smart of Banpresto. With big plushies, it’s easy for someone to be satisfied with owning a single doll, but these mini ones are like Lays potato chips, bet you can’t eat just one!
