Shigesato Itoi and Satoru Iwata are good friends, as one might expect since Iwata wound up saving MOTHER 2 from cancellation with his super programming skills. Even now that Iwata is president of Nintendo, they still hang out and chill together. Here’s a pic from Itoi’s photo blog where Iwata and his wife visited Itoi and his wife at Itoi’s second home in Kyoto:
Since they’re so close, maybe one day Iwata will be like, “Hey, wanna do some more stuff with the MOTHER series?” like he and Miyamoto did when they convinced Itoi to make a GBA MOTHER 3.
Well, it’s nice to daydream at least

I wasn’t prepared to go this far, but thanks to Nintendo’s new Metroid game, if Iwata convinces Itoi to make another Mother game, I will take back EVERY bad thing I have ever said about them. However, for Mato’s sake, I hope it gets Americanized.
