Tips for Buying EarthBound

August 20th, 2009 | EarthBound, Videos

The always kickass ElfKitty (see here for reference) has struck again with a 3D version of Magicant!

I believe she’s an artist who works for Nintendo too, so that would explain the quality and passion in her work. Also, this makes me realize that Magicant could make a cool Mario Kart track if slightly modified 😛

Very nice work ElfKitty! Love the amount of detail, such as putting the floating question marks in and the present locations. Here’s a cookie for excellence. *gives cookie*

Yayy, thank you thank you!! ^^ I re-rendered the animation, so there’s a higher quality version of it up now:

Neat, it must have been hard to make.

Your animations are absolutely astounding in quality, accuracy, and atmosphere, Elf Kitty. If Hell were to ever freeze over and Nintendo planned on remaking any (or all) of the Mother games into a 3D home console version, you would definitely have to be hired as one of the graphic designers. Infinite props to you and I look forward to your future works!

Wow, this is great!

I wish I was this talented…I have literally no artistic talent at all. Thankfully, there are people like ElfKitty and Kokuu who make masterpieces for the rest of us to admire! 😀

I like that she not only creates the map, but stages a kind of storytelling feel to them without even using characters. Very cool.

I love your animations, elfkitty. I’ve had your “Devil’s machine” animation as my video desktop background for wuite a while actually, and I was getting quite annoyed by it, so this comes as a nice surprise 😉

I love this! Especially the atmosphere the music adds to it.

Actually, you know what? Why not make it Smash Kart. That’s because this is pure Earthbound. And Earthbound only ever went on RPGs and never any direct references in any other game than Smash. Plus, why not? Wouldn’t it be fun trying to PK Fire Mario’s kart and set it on fire? Or randomly throwing stars at people just to break their kart? (Actually, try freezing him. Mario IS fire.)
Making this a Smash stage wouldn’t hurt, either.
