He applied a lot of love to what he makes, and I think he would regard as any changes made in a remake as detrimental. A sequel. I know he said he just wanted to be a player, but he also said that he was canceling Mother 3 years prior. This is a question not of his principles, as I've stated above, but what he would actually do. I'm guessing that he's going to wait another 9-10 years, make Mother 4, then retire.
