Tips for Buying EarthBound

April 30th, 2009 | Fan Games, MOTHER 1, Videos

The very latest Wario Ware game for the DS came out in Japan like a day or two ago. The cool thing about this latest installment is that you can create your own minigames and share them with people. You can see this here.

Anyway, I bring this up because Starmen.Net visitor LeonardoGolden imported the game and immediately made an EarthBound-themed mini-game. Well, technically, EarthBound Zero I guess 😛

It’s simple, but it’ll be neat to see what stuff people come up with down the road, especially once the English-language version is released. Keep me posted so I can update about any good EarthBound minigames 😀

That’s awesome! Good work. 😀 That’s so cool that you can make your own mini games. 🙂

Aerostella said on Apr. 30, 2009

Is it for DS or from the shoppping channel on the DSi?

(I can’t see the video at school, so I can’t comment on the minigame right now ^^; )

It sounds awesome 😀 I can’t comment on the game yet though, because my school blocks the video. ^^;

*facepalm* I thought the first comment didn’t send. Sorry.

Saturnome said on Apr. 30, 2009

Was the Ninten character included in Wario Ware or custom made?

santiagoff said on Apr. 30, 2009

That’s… so… AWESOME!
Someone should make a minigame of Lucas running to Hinawa from chapter 6 :3

Deiphobus said on Apr. 30, 2009

or running away from the ultimate chimera

honeymustard said on Apr. 30, 2009

It’s a physical release, Aerostella. It does look great 🙂

LeonardoGolden said on Apr. 30, 2009

I made everything but the Moai statue. I was thinking of making a Starman, but I was too lazy to do it pixel by pixel XP

SmaMan said on Apr. 30, 2009

So you just have to tap Ninten to get him to run away from the Moai statue in the middle of the path? Yep, that’s random enough for Wario Ware!

PKNuMan said on Apr. 30, 2009

Is there more Earthbound related objects you can use in the game?

Anonymous said on Apr. 30, 2009

For some reason, I saw something about “Swine Flu” video here to start with… After refreshing I got the normal video of Wario Ware.

Anyways, pretty cool! 😀

LeonardoGolden said on Apr. 30, 2009

The Ninten wasn’t pre-made…
I made him from scratch.

And there aren’t any EarthBound objects. Just 8-Bit Mario.

My computer sucks, so I couldn’t really tell what was going on in the video. What was going on?

PSInesslove93 said on Apr. 30, 2009

thats pretty sweet 😀

Hejiru said on Apr. 30, 2009

Wait, you can make your own WarioWare games?!?
This is coming out in the US, right? RIGHT???

Unlimited Lumpia said on Apr. 30, 2009

I instantly thought Mother and Rhythm Heaven.

Then I thought how amazing it would be to have a Mother game with a Rhythm Heaven-like battle interface. Mother 3 was already going in that direction with its time-based battle system, so why not?

Mr. Nosy said on Apr. 30, 2009

I want to do a microgame that has you attack a character to the tune of the song (the Mother 3 sound battle system, in other wards).

Big A2 said on May. 1, 2009

THIS NEEDS AND ENGLISH RELEASE.

NOW.

SmaMan said on May. 1, 2009

If that doesn’t happen, I guess I could rally up all my fellow Wario Ware fans and have our own Do it Yourself Devotion and pursue an epic project to translate the Made in Ore ROM. Now hopefully one of us knows Japanese… Mato! Wanna help?

FireStar said on May. 1, 2009

Warioware myself is most likely going to come to US, Since warioware is one of Nintendos priorities. I think it was already announced it was coming out here.

Generic said on May. 1, 2009

Of course it will be released on US.
“Warioware Myself” is the name of the location title 😛

Difegue said on May. 1, 2009

It’s not a Dsi exclusive? Ooooooh us release come faster

SmaMan said on May. 1, 2009

Yeah I know, I was just kidding about the whole not coming here thing. Hehe, of course it is.

Teal said on May. 1, 2009

Haha it would be awesome if you could make microgames take place in Earthbound battles with the backgrounds. It would probably work the same way as the “boss” microgame for the alien in the first Wario Ware.

…here’s a thought, make the level 3 version of said microgame as the final battle against Giygas and you have to “PRAY!” XD

ScottKO said on May. 4, 2009

They will announce a release at E3 most likely

Claus said on May. 4, 2009
